Plymouth is Going Digital
Plymouth is going digital 🙂
Yes finally after years of saving, donations and support we are going to a digital transponder system. This will mean that those of you that want or have got digital transponders will now be able to use them.
However please note that the only transponders that work with the RC4 Decoder are the red AMB/Mylaps RC transponders – MRT transponders will not work, however BBK software do an upgrade/trade in service to go from MRT to MyLaps Transponders.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year
Hi All,
May I just wish everyone, on half of the committee, a Very Merry Christmas and Nappy New year.
This year has had it’s up (eg. 3 hour endurance and Beta Series) and downs (bad weather causing racing to be cancelled or low numbers) but now that can all be left behind and we can look forward to a year of good racing and further special events including the return of Caravan racing.
Take Care and have a great time, and see you all in the new year.
Electric Racing on 23rd Cancelled
Hi All,
Just a quick one, racing on the 23rd December has been cancelled due to all the bad weather we are having and forecast to have. Also with it being 2 days before Christmas it was deemed the right thing to do.
May I, on behalf of the Committee, also take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Tinsel Race Result
The three winner for the Tinsel Race was:-
1st – Jonathan with Rudalph and Santa in sleigh(Caravan)
2nd – James with Christmas tree and ball balls
3rd – Roy with Tinsel and Christmas Stocking

Beta Series Round 3 – 9th December
Hi All,
Just a quick note to let you all know that Round 3 of the Beta Series that is scheduled to be run at LRC on 9th December has been moved back to Plymouth due to technical issues.
This does mean however that the electric racing this weekend will be cancelled.
Also for those that are available to help there is a Maintenance Session on Saturday 8th December from 1.30pm to 3.30pm – any help with this would be much appreciated.
Tinsel Race & Annual Trophy Giving
Hi All,
After a couple of inquiries about a Tinsel race we have decided to hold it on Sunday December 16th.
The race day will be a normal day but with cars decorated with various Christmas Decorations, there will be prices for the best three turned out cars.
So start getting your thinking caps on and come up with so great cars.
Also in the Lunch break we will be handing out the trophies that have been won from the years racing.
See you all there so you can collect your winnings.
Website Maintenance
Hi All,
Apologises for the website not working for the last few days, it was down for some maintenance. The work took longer than planned as some of the PHP coding on the site went wrong.
Please do look around the site and if you find something not working please do let the committee know.
Club AGM 2012
Hi All,
It is that time of the year again, it is Annual General Meeting time again.
The Proposed date for it is 9th November 2012 starting at 7.30, doors will open about 6.30 so if we can all get there earlier we can start earlier. The Location will be the same as last year at the Colebrook Community Center, Peacock Meadow, Plympton.
If there are any rules you would like to see changed this is place to do it along with collecting trophies for the year.

Beta Control Tire Winter Series
Hi All,
After some discussion with the Distributors of Beta Tires and with LRC we are going to hold a control tire winter series.
The Rules are normal racing (full rules and dates to follow), but the tires will be the Beta Enforers at a discounted rate of ÂŁ24.00 a set for the racers.
The Championship will be 6 rounds, best 4 to count and you must do 2 rounds at each track to qualify for points towards the prizes.
