Plymouth's Newest Offroad Track

Hi All,

This is just a quick post to remind everyone your club membership is up for renewal as of the 1st January 2012. So if you do not want a break in your membership go to the Club Rules page and download the up to date membership form in and bring it to the track along with your monies to renew.

We have also introduced a new membership (forgotten to mention at the AGM), Mechanics Membership - this is for the Non racer that requires insurance for being a mechanic and marshalling.

As most of you have noticed the calender is empty, this is currently being sorted as we have just had the AGM to sort the running of the club for the next year.

Sunday 6th November

Track is open for practice all day, the new championships will be starting on the 13th November.

Hi All,

Just a quick update, the club AGM this year is being held at Colebrook Community Hall. Doors open at 6.30 for the meeting to be under way at 7.00. The meeting will be over by 10.00

There will hot and cold drink available and plenty of parking.

Quick Urgent Update.

Due to the bad weather forcast for this weekend the location of the Race has been moved from Springlease to Torquay.

There is still camping available and practice on the Saturday will be practice from 12.00.

Please do tell everyone that the new location for racing, and this will count as you Springlease Round.

Also remember being the end of Season race it is also the Trophy and medal giving.

Hi All,

Just a quick reminded after discussing it in the forum and and at the track, the electric racing that was due to be on the Sunday 28th August has now been moved to Monday 29th August.

This is to enable our members to attend other events at other tracks to not miss out on the Electric Racing with us and not to be bored on the Monday.

Just a quick update for those that were unable to make the racing for the certificates for the Summer Championships the results were as Follows:-

1/10th Class
1st - Jonathan, 2nd - Trevor, 3rd - Aaron

1/8th Rally Cross
1st - Dave W, 2nd - Danny, 3rd - Jon W

1/5th Petrol
1st - Tony, 2nd - Jonathan, 3rd - Ritchy

Truggy
1st - Kelvin, 2nd - Jordan, 3rd - Roland

Now both the electric and the nitro championships are into the last quarter and most classes have still got all to play for toward the Annual Shields.

Well just a quick update - SWORDS is coming to Plymouth for Round 5 this Sunday (14th August).

The grass on the track has been cut so grass guards are a good idea, along with suntan lotion as the weather is looking to be very good.

The gates will be open from 8.30am, booking in will close at 10.00 as per previous events so we can have drivers meeting at 10.15 and racing to commence at 10.30.

Well what after what has been a growing success the Electric Summer Quarter has just come to an end with some close battles for positions. The finishing results for the classes where:-

1/10th Electric 2wd
1st - Jonathan, 2nd - Jamie K, 3rd - Ben

1/10th Electric 4wd
1st - Aaron, 2nd - Trevor, 3rd - Jamie G

1/8th Electric Rally Cross
1st - Chris, 2nd - Jonathan, 3rd - Ritchy

Electric Truggy
1st - Tiana, 2nd - Jonathan, 3rd - Ritchy

With the addition of all the new members that have attended recent races the Autumn Series looks to be even better.

Just to remind everyone that Round 3 of SWORDS that was meant to be a Springleaze is being re-run on 24th July at Springleaze and this time the sun has been booked in.

Then on 14th August is Round 5 at Plymouth -  just a head's up on this, on the same day is the Plymouth Mega Ride so to avoid missing booking in please give a little longer to get to the track. Mega Ride does not start till after booking in closes but there could be a lot more traffic on the roads.

The track will be open from 12:00 - 16:00 on May 7th for SWORDS booking in and practise.

Booking in for the Sundays SWORDS (8th MAY) is £10.00 per entry as per Torquay. This will allow you to run on Saturday and Sunday.

The track will only be open to SWORDS drivers ONLY. If you want to use the track on Saturday but are not entering SWORDS the fee is still £10.00.

Sunday the Gates will be open from 8.00am for everyone to book in and setup pit tables/area and get ready. No Engines will be allowed to be started before 10.00. Drivers meeting will be at 10.15 with the aim of racing to start at 10.30.

Let's all make this round as successful as the first round.
