Louise Final Standings

Louise Drivers

Well after some close racing and great battles the Louise Series has come to an End. John and Colin from JC Racing where kind enough to drive 200 miles down for the prize giving.

The final positions were:-
Electric Buggy,
1st – Josh Graham, 2nd – Steve Ednie, 3rd – Paul Bond

Nitro Buggy,
1st – Nick Blackwell, 2nd – Dave Stanley, 3rd – Sam Cobley

Truggy,
1st – Paul Graham, 2nd – Chris Luckett, 3rd – Roland Thomas

SWORDS Round 5 Practice and Racing

As most of you now know this weekend (11th & 12th August) is SWORDS here at Plymouth.

We are doing a Saturday Practice from 12.00 till 4.00 on the Saturday for the standard £5.00 per person. You are also able to pre-book ready for Sunday if you should wish to make life easier for the organisers on Sunday.

Sunday the gates open at 8.00 and booking in closes at 10.00 Racing is £10.00 a person. There will also be hot and cold food and drink on offer in the burger van.

Classes being run are:- 1/8 Rally Cross Nitro Buggy, 1/8 Rally Cross Electric Buggy & Truggy

Nitro Championship & Trophy Race – 9th April

Trophy DayWith SWORDS running on a day we would normally have our Nitro Championship in 2 weeks we are moving our racing to the Bank Holiday Monday (9th April).

And to make this event even more interesting we are not only doing for points in our Championship day we are also doing it as a Trophy day – we have a small collection of trophies that will be perfect for this event so if you fancy trying to win a trophy please come along and if there is enough interest we will run a proper 2wd & 4wd electric class too or just a 1/10th electric class.

Club AGM & Trophy Giving

Hi All,

Just a quick update, the club AGM this year is being held at Colebrook Community Hall. Doors open at 6.30 for the meeting to be under way at 7.00. The meeting will be over by 10.00

There will hot and cold drink available and plenty of parking.

SWORDS Round 6 Moved Location

Quick Urgent Update.

Due to the bad weather forcast for this weekend the location of the Race has been moved from Springlease to Torquay.

There is still camping available and practice on the Saturday will be practice from 12.00.

Please do tell everyone that the new location for racing, and this will count as you Springlease Round.

Also remember being the end of Season race it is also the Trophy and medal giving.

Summer Nitro Results

Just a quick update for those that were unable to make the racing for the certificates for the Summer Championships the results were as Follows:-

1/10th Class
1st – Jonathan, 2nd – Trevor, 3rd – Aaron

1/8th Rally Cross
1st – Dave W, 2nd – Danny, 3rd – Jon W

1/5th Petrol
1st – Tony, 2nd – Jonathan, 3rd – Ritchy

Truggy
1st – Kelvin, 2nd – Jordan, 3rd – Roland

Now both the electric and the nitro championships are into the last quarter and most classes have still got all to play for toward the Annual Shields.

Sunday 14th August – SWORDS

Well just a quick update – SWORDS is coming to Plymouth for Round 5 this Sunday (14th August).

The grass on the track has been cut so grass guards are a good idea, along with suntan lotion as the weather is looking to be very good.

The gates will be open from 8.30am, booking in will close at 10.00 as per previous events so we can have drivers meeting at 10.15 and racing to commence at 10.30.

Summer Electric Results

Well what after what has been a growing success the Electric Summer Quarter has just come to an end with some close battles for positions. The finishing results for the classes where:-

1/10th Electric 2wd
1st – Jonathan, 2nd – Jamie K, 3rd – Ben

1/10th Electric 4wd
1st – Aaron, 2nd – Trevor, 3rd – Jamie G

1/8th Electric Rally Cross
1st – Chris, 2nd – Jonathan, 3rd – Ritchy

Electric Truggy
1st – Tiana, 2nd – Jonathan, 3rd – Ritchy

With the addition of all the new members that have attended recent races the Autumn Series looks to be even better.

New Nitro & Electric Classes

With the ever growning number of electric cars in all classes we have decided to go with the times and improve the club by splitting apart the Nitro and Electric cars into their own championships.

This is resulting in the one weekend being nitro classes and the following weekend being the electric championships. Every week from 10.00am till 11.45am will be open practice, Booking in will close by 11.30am so drivers meeting at 11.45 and racing underway by 12.00.

Electric Classes are:- Budget Short Course, 1/10th Buggies, 1/8th Buggies, Truggies and Outlaws.

Nitro Classes are:- 1/10th Buggies, 1/8th Buggies, 1/5th Petrols, Truggies and Outlaws.

Fees will remain the same for practice and racing, but to only practice will be £2.00 per person.

Racing will start with the Nitro Championship starting every other weekend from 6th February and Electric Championship starting on 13th February.
